Florida BARBERS: Continuing Education Requirement
Completion of a Board-approved course on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) during each biennium prior to the license renewal date. The course shall consist of education on the modes of transmission, infection control procedures, clinical management and prevention of HIV and AIDS, with emphasis on appropriate behavior and attitude changes with specific relevance to the practice of barbering, including sanitary requirements.

Initial course Requirements:
Hair Braiders, Hair Wrapping, Body Wrapping and License Reinstatement must complete the
4 hrs CE HIV Initial class.

BARBERS Only. Reinstatement and obtaining a barber licenses must complete the 2HR HIV AIDS FOR INITIAL LICENSURE/OBTAINING A BARBER LICENSE
