Fire Protection and Prevention During ConstructionOverview Construction planning is a daunting task. There are schedules and manpower estimates to complete, planning for material receipt and storage, fabrication and erection sequences to plan. The list goes on…. With all, there is to do, fire protection and prevention may not be at the top of the construction engineer’s list of concerns. However, thousands of fires occur on construction sites each year, sometimes resulting in loss of life and substantial property loss. This course will review OSHA's Fire Protection and Prevention standards contained in the Code of Federal Regulations (29CFR Part 1926, Subpart F).
