If you take this class your hours will be submitted on the same day you complete the class and you will receive a email confirmation. CE Hrs. are submitted to the State Board every Fridays. Choose from the classes listed below. All classes are state board approved. Course Outline- 1. Diseases and Disorders of the Nails. 2. MMA, what it 'is'. 3. Allergic reactions symptoms and remedies 4. A simple explanation of how to avoid skin allergies in clients and nail techs alike 5. Nail Product Chemistry 6. Safe Manicure and Pedicure Procedures Learner Outcomes- After completing the course, students will exhibit the following competencies: 1. Identify common diseases, disorders and irregularities of the nails 2. Demonstrate the proper use of implements, cosmetics, & materials used in manicuring & pedicuring 3. Identify the 5 basic nail shapes 4. Demonstrate salon techniques to help clients avoid allergies 5. Demonstrate a safe manicure & pedicure to avoid fungal and bacterial infections 6. List the sanitary & safety precautions that should be observed when performing a manicure or pedicure 7. Apply artificial nails with safe products 8. Understands theoretical concepts and terms of manicuring Upon the completion of all course sections, the student will take a test which covers the course content. Thereafter, the option to print your certificate will be available and C.O.E. Continuing Education will submitt your CE hours to your State Board.
